This Peach Cobbler Iced Latte brings together StoneFruit Coffee’s Smoky Hollow Espresso -- found in August’s Gourmet Coffee Box -- with brown sugar peach syrup, milk, and an unexpected touch of butter for that fresh-out-of-the-oven decadence. It’s simple, comforting, and just sweet enough to feel special. Perfect for mornings when you need an extra boost or afternoons when you’re craving a sweet pick-me-up, this latte is the treat you’ll want on repeat all season long.

For the Peach Syrup 

Prep Time - 30 minutes Yields - 5 servings

  • 1 cup peaches, pitted and cubed (about 2 peaches, fresh or frozen)
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • A pinch of salt

For the latte (one serving)

  • 2 ounces (a double shot) of brewed Smoky Hollow Espresso from StoneFruit Coffee
  • 1 tsp salted butter
  • 1 cup milk of choice (we like whole milk or full-fat oat milk)
  • Ice
  • Sprinkle of cinnamon brown sugar (1 part cinnamon to 2 parts brown sugar) to top

How to Make It

The Syrup

  1. In a medium pot over medium-hight heat, add syrup ingredients. Boil until sugar dissolves, stirring often to avoid the sugar or peaches burning.
  2. Lower the heat and allow the syrup to simmer uncovered for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Syrup should begin to reduce and thicken.
  3. Take the syrup of the heat and allow to cool for about 10 minutes. 
  4. Pour into a glass jar or measuring cup through a fine-mesh sieve, pressing down on the peaches to get as much of their juice as possible. (Don’t throw out the peaches! Check out our tips below for how to repurpose them for your breakfast or dessert!)
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

The Latte

  1. In a mug or steaming pitcher, add your butter and set aside. 
  2. Pull 2 shots of Smoky Hollow Espresso and pour them over the butter, stirring until melted.
  3. Measure out 1-1½ oz (about 2-3 tbsp) of your peach cobbler syrup and add it to your buttery espresso. 
  4. Stir in 1 cup of your preferred milk. 
  5. Fill a 20-ounce glass or jar ⅔ full with ice. 
  6. Pour latte over ice, top with cinnamon brown sugar, and enjoy!
